September 2026 Australian Journal

I was away for the whole of September traveling to and around Australia. We visited Queensland where there is ancient Rainforest, as well as dry outback and is home to some extraordinary animals and birds. We were lucky to see Tree Kangaroos, Platypus and a Cassowary.
Another flight took us down to Tasmania where with the use of a camper van we tried to see as much of the Island that we could and I should say with thanks to our youngest daughter for driving us most of the way! It was quite an experience, the scenery was stunning but I shall not miss the drop loos.
Then it was a quick stop in Melbourne......
Fitzroy and the Botanical Gardens being some of the places we visited.
Then back to Singapore where there is an amazing mix of cultures. We loved Little India and the Arab Quarter.
Finally here is one of our favourite birds in Tasmania. A Currawong.

I am now back at the Avon Mill Garden Centre doing the South Hams Arts Trail. We are up the stairs above the cafe. If you are local please come and see us. There are road closed signs but you can get to us from the Kingsbridge direction.
