May 2023 sun and more sun

The month started with me being back at Landscove Market on the coronation day of King Charles. People were eating bacon sarnies, the commentary was playing while lovely stall holders chatted and sold their goods.

It has been a good month for making. Aprons with hand-printed pockets were made up so were pocket purses and bucket hats.

I have also tried out some patterns and crumb quilting again. Having signed up as a Green Maker I am trying to use up all of my remnants.

During May I took part in a new course for me about book illustration, as a friend and I wrote a children's book many years ago and we really need to get it finished. It was good fun, doing lots of different activities, which made me see picture books in a different light.

Two other craft markets later I am looking forward to June. Let's hope the sun still shines.

Hope May has been kind to you! Becca
