Fresh start January 24

This month has been spent replenishing creativity. I wanted to explore different forms of printing at home so I settled on using tetrapak containers as I had quite a lot to hand and reusing things is part of my green maker pledge. The ideas for the prints have been coming from the30daysketchbook challenge prompts which I have so enjoyed again; from making my own little sketchbook, the artist discussions and the prompts themselves. It really makes January a creative month.

Also on the subject of renovating/up-cycling and reusing I was lucky to be asked by a lovely lady to make these make up bags using fabric from her mother's wedding dress. One was for her daughter who was recently married. How lovely to think that the beautiful silk and golden thread fabric will link so many family members through the generations.

I am lucky to have been back to Art House in South Brent where I printed my coffee shop print , revisited my swimmers collagraph and printed a huge piece in a group which is eventually going to be made into a book. It was great fun.

I hope your January has been a good one. Becca
